ToyFare issue #136 arrives

The latest issue of ToyFare is arriving in mailboxes. I got mine yesterday, which is surprising since I usually get it late for some reason. For non-subscribers, it's due in comic shops on October 8 and on newstands October 21.
This issue has NECA's Marcus Fenix from the Gears of War 2 video game on the cover. If you are into "Gears" then this issue is for you - with all sorts of info about upcoming merchandise, comics, and of course the video games. There is also an interview with some head hancho.
The issue is a little light on actual toy news if you ask me, with stories on the new G.I. Joe and Transformers comic books and a piece on Bruce "The Chin" Campbell. One thing ToyFare is good at is showing us a look back at some forgotten toy line, and they don't disappoint this issue with a retrospective on Crystar, another classic (but small) toy line from the 1980s (based on a comic book series). Plus you get all the usual ToyFare columns, price guides, and Twisted ToyFare Theater.

Toyfare issue #135 out today

The latest issue of ToyFare hits the comic stores today. It takes a few more days for subscribers to receive their copies, and won't appear on news stands until September 23.
The cover previews the new Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series that premires on the Cartoon Network on October 3rd. They also take a look at other animated offerings coming to TV and DVD. The issue also has an interview with JAKKS Pacific and what they are up to lately. And of course lots of pictures of cool toys that are coming down the pipe. Plus, the third and final part of Twisted Toyfare Theater's Manly Men of Action series.

Update: Here is the official trailer for the new Clone Wars animated series. Watching it makes me kind of excited about the series, to tell you the truth. I liked the movie more then I thought I would, so hopefully the series doesn't disappoint. They totally need to make a Ziro the Hutt action figure.

Latest ToyFare magazine hits stores Wednesday

ToyFare Magazine #134 hits the racks this Wednesday (or the mailbox if you are a subscriber like me). On the cover is the first look at the new Skeletor from the Masters of the Universe line, and inside is behind-the-scenes coverage of the return of this classic series. We'll have more on this later in the week, but wanted to give you a preview of the cover story.
Update: Here is a link to just what you'll find in the latest issue.
