Hasbro to raise prices September 1

Hasbro, the giant toymaker behind such lines as Transformers, Star Wars and G.I. Joe is set to raise it's wholesale prices on September 1. This has been a good, no, great year for Hasbro. The company's stock has nearly doubled since the beginning of 2008, and their profits are up big compared to 2007. But citing higher shipping costs due to fuel prices, Hasbro will be raising prices to wholesalers. It's up to the retailers themselves whether to pass this increase along to the consumer, but I'm betting on "Will Definitely Pass It On".
The article talks about how Iron Man was a big success for Hasbro this year. Too bad the same can't be said for the Indiana Jones toys. The shelves are still overflowing with Indy action figures and I expect to see some big clearances on them soon.
